Write, write, and write some more.
Ride Reports
The elephant still standing in the room is that I'm very behind in writing my ride reports. I almost caught up during 2024, but now because of my poor efforts during 2025, I'm two years behind. I need to focus. Whilst I don't realistically think I can catch up completely, I need to make a very strong and concerted effort.

The numbers: (1) from 2023, (13) from 2024, and (10) from 2025. That's a shocking 24 reports needing to be written. If I can do half of those, that in itself, will be a massive achievement.
Rides to Remember
During 2025 I updated only one older reports to the new design for my Rides to Remember section. That is appalling. I need to do more in 2026. I would like to update an additional four of the remaining 10 reports to the new design during 2026.
Routes to Ride
This is another list that's in serious need of attention. Currently, there are 31 routes awaiting development. They include: (7) Beginner Routes, (4) Intermediate Routes, (9) Advanced Routes, and lastly, (11) for "The Valleys". (You can select the tabs below the table to view each specific list.)
Places to Visit for Future Ride Reports
Going places, seeing things, and documenting the routes are the three primary objectives of my cycling (and this blog, of course!) By following these goals the cycling distances should add up naturally. (It's the writing that I need to focus on...)

I try not to dwell on numbers, I'd rather focus on places and experiences, but there's no denying the fact that I worry with these figures as well. I've had the same set of yearly goals for the past seven years and these numbers merely provide a scale to measure and compare my cycling efforts.

2026 Issues
Then the elephant on the webpage is how and when do I plan to publish all of this?

From 2024 - "I started publishing this blog/website in a magazine format nearly seven years ago and I'm proud of what I've created. However, I think it's time to start thinking about something new. Over the next three years, I hope to publish my last 10 issues and round out 10 years of publishing with 50 issues. What I do after that, I haven't a clear idea."
With that said, I plan to publish (6) issues during 2026:
  • February - Volume 10, Issue 01, Number 44
  • April - Volume 10, Issue 02, Number 45
  • June - Volume 10, Issue 03, Number 46
  • August - Volume 10, Issue 04, Number 47
  • October - Volume 10, Issue 05, Number 48
  • December - Volume 10, Issue 06, Number 49

Considering how poorly I worked on this blog last year, I am somewhat skeptical of how I will perform this year. It's January 6th, 2026. It's time to get to work!
